Healthcare Innovation
Primary healthcare innovation in Nigeria
The project: Assess the digitalisation level, skill gaps, and most needed innovation in Nigerian primary healthcare.
Our role: Conduct quali-quantitative research across 5 Nigerian states, launch an innovation hackathon, and promote selected innovations, with funding provided by GIZ SEDIN initiative.
MSMEs Digitalisation
MSMEs Digital Characterisation in Nigeria
The project: Define MSMEs’ personas based on their digital capacity
Our role: Conduct quantitative research across 10 Nigerian states through 1,800 field interviews, with funding provided by GIZ Digital Transformation Center.
DIHS Mentoring
The project: Establish 5 vertical industries’ digital innovation hubs in Nigeria funded by GIZ Digital Transformation Center.
Our role: Provide business development and marketing mentoring.
Smart Step
The project: Develop an entrepreneurship and digital skills vocational training programme in Cameroon, Ghana, and Nigeria funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Commission.
Our role: Design and launch the eLearning Platform.
Policy and Regulation
Dissemination of the policy and Regulation Initiative for Digital Africa
The project: PRIDA, funded by the European Commission, supported the implementation of the Digital Transformation Strategy for Africa: 2020-2030. This included developing digital Education, Health, and Agriculture strategies, harmonising continental digital policy and legislation, and promoting Internet Governance.
Our role: Develop the “Our Digital Future” communication campaign to engage African citizens on technology, policy facts, trends, and strategies related to the African Union’s technology and digital economy development, aligned with Agenda 2063.
SUSTAIN-IT
The project: Launch the first environmental analyst vocational training programme in Namibia, Zimbabwe and Rwanda. An Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Commission.
Our role: support the stakeholders’ engagement in Namibia and lead the dissemination and communication activities
NCP4EIT
The project: to enhance the capacity of National Contact Points (NCPs) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) to become more efficient, visible and accessible to the EIT community and thus help to raise awareness and visibility of the EIT and Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs) at national and global level. Through the expertise of the consortium consisting of 22 countries, EIT-BEST intends to enable NCPs to deliver standard, efficient and accessible support services.
Our role: support EU-Africa transnational cooperation between EIT NCPs, and improve the support to potential applicants to the EIT and KIC calls.
We will focus on identifying and facilitating synergies with other EU programmes, such as Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), as well as national initiatives. These synergies will emphasise key areas like research and innovation, education and skills development, sustainable and competitive industry, entrepreneurship, and regional development.
SYNAPSE
The project: The project will create inclusive, youth-led spaces where young people from the EU and Sub-Saharan Africa can shape virtual
exchanges. Youth from Malawi, Namibia, Kenya, Ethiopia and
Nigeria will apply a Systems Thinking approach, to addresses key
themes such as climate action, digital transformation, and social
inclusion, helping participants understand the interconnected
nature of today’s challenges. An Erasmus+ Virtual Exchanges
project, co-funded by the European Commission
Our Role: Lead project’s dissemination and communication
activities and ensure enthusiastic participation of Namibian youth.
Ruralities
The Project: Develop a network of rural expertise and training centres for rural communities in Europe and 20 African countries. A Horizon Europe Project funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Pilot the smart remote expert solution with peri-urban fishing communities in Lagos.
PrAEctiCE
The Project: Help African smallholder farmers in their agroecological transition. A Horizon Europe Project funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Lead project’s dissemination and communication activities.
GreenVETAfrica
The Project: Launch the first Green Waste Management Vocational Training in West Africa. An Erasmus+ Project funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Coordinate the project, pilot the smart remote expert solution, and lead the dissemination and communication activities.
GHSafe
The Project: The project will contribute to Africa’s energy transition by
demonstrating a scalable, green hydrogen-based electricity
storage system piloting it in Senegal, Morocco, Guinea and South Africa. A LEAP-SE project co-funded by the European Commission and Partners’ National Funding Agencies.
Our Role: Lead project’s dissemination and communication activities, support the communities engagement and training activities.
CIRCUWASTEVETAFRICA
The Project: Develop a circular economy and waste management vocational training programme in Angola, Ghana, Namibia and São Tomé. An Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Coordinate the project, support frugal innovation knowledge sharing and lead the dissemination and communication activities.
GROW
The Project: GROW aims to strengthen TVET institutions in Nigeria and Mozambique to effectively support the green transformation of the construction sector, driven by rapid and often unplanned urbanization, which exacerbates construction and demolition waste challenges. An Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Lead the Vocational Training Programme activities in Nigeria with trainers and learners
DIGILOGIC
The Project: Establish the first Smart Logistics Digital Innovation Hub in Africa. A Horizon 2020 Project Funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Lead project’s dissemination and communication activities.
METAVET
The Project: The first vocational training programme on cobots technology in the Western Balkans. The students will master programming, operation, and troubleshooting in simulated real-world environments thanks to the integration of metaverse technology. An Erasmus+ project co-funded by the European Commission.
Our Role: Analyse the labour market skill gaps and lead the dissemination and communication activities.
